TS Quarter Horses is very excited to bring you the opportunity to ride with Cal Middleton.

Cal Middleton, being a Missouri boy, grew up in Smithville and always enjoyed spending the summers at his grandparents farm in Ulman, Missouri. It was on his grandparents farm that he developed a passion, for not only horses, but the agricultural way of life. He went on and received an Associates Degree in Equine Science as well as a Two Year Certificate in Farm and Ranch Management from Northestern Oklahoma A&M. It was in Oklahoma where he first discovered the performance horse world. After graduating from NEO A&M, Cal went on to receive a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Science from Northwest Missouri State University.

After college, he spent some time in the cattle business near Eldon, MO. It was the move north to a barn in Kearney, MO that he was leasing that became the start to his business of horse training and giving riding lessons. He now rents stalls at a barn in Smithville, MO where he offers training and lesson services to the public. Specializing in reining, he also offers help with starting colts, general pleasure riding, problem horses and also buying or selling; safe, quality horses. Cal currently has 21 horses in full time training and has 10 staff members that range from full time employees to interns and apprentices who are fulfilling an education in the performance horse world.

Cal has had the opportunity to work for and learn from some of the best trainers in the business including Al Dunning in Scottsdale, AZ Al and his students have earned over 32 world and reserve world titles. Cal has also been mentored by the great Brent Wright in Ottawa, KS who is one of the few NRHA riders to win over one million dollars in competition. Cal continues to ride with the top trainers in the world in order to keep learning as much as he can and just returned from riding with Shawn Flarida.
